THE JOKER AND BAT PACKAGING
"I think you and I are destined to do this forever." For this packaging I wanted to fuse the Joker and Batman together in one box. The idea of the illustration was to have Joker be the ventriloquist to a dummy that I could imagine was made by him, resembling The Batman. He plays with the dummy and controls him, which I think shows the obsession he has towards Batman. I also used Batman's side profile to bring the composition together, it creates a "v" shape to draw your eyes in to the illustration. Lastly, I used only two colors, a dark and light purple to show night and light. I had fun working on this project, also a special little touch that I added was having the lighter purple be printed out glossy and the darker purple matte to have contrast and have a cool look aesthetically.
challenge:
The most challenging part about this project was coming up with the composition. I had many preliminary drawings to see what would work. It took me almost a week to figure it out to where I felt it made sense and was a composition that I felt comfortable going forward with.
